Briar Vista Elementary is a Title I school, and as the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parental engagement program and activities in our school. The focus of all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children. The following survey is confidential and will be used to assist us with future planning for parental involvement activities and events at our school.

You are invited to join our staff for a night of reading suggestions and activities, we will be sharing the following resources: 

1. Useful websites that BVE students have access to.
2. GADOE standards for ELA/RDG.
3. Teachers will join us and share what they notice are strengths and weaknesses as far as standards and kids are concerned.
4. Helpful hints on how to keep children reading.
5. Share with parents to have kids read things they enjoy and keep a reading log and journal about what they read.
6. We will share links to good comprehension questions to ask based on grade level.
